Monday, the start of a busy week

apollina baker

This is shaping up to be a pretty busy week, yet again.  Tonight, I am going to start making my birthday cake (it's a surprise that I'm stoked/nervous about).  I'll be heading to Sur la table for a few necessities and then the grocery store.  Tomorrow, I am going to help a friend/client shop for some furniture and accent pieces for her DC condo and will hopefully finish up my cake (depending on how far I get tonight).  Wednesday night is another DC FABB meet-up, this time at an Adams Morgan boutique.   The lovely Liz from So Much To Smile About posted pics from our last meet-up at Carbon, you can see them here.  Thursday I am meeting a photographer friend at one of my favorite Clarendon spots to talk about doing some work together.  On Friday, I have a date at the Kennedy Center to see Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving in Uncle Vanya.  I'm excited for this one because Cate Blanchett is just incredible and Hugo Weaving plays some pretty awesome characters (one of my all-time favorite films is V for Vendetta and one of Brad's is The Matrix).  Saturday is my birthday party (more on that later) and Sunday is the Stop Modern Slavery summer celebration in Meridian Hill Park.  Add to that a full week of work, a thorough apartment cleaning, and some much needed hair and nail TLC.  I want to say, "I need more time!"  But in reality, when I have more time, I am much less productive.  Time is what you make of it, right?!

My feelings about this week would be best expressed by an editorial from Bambi Magazine via Fashionizing.com:
