Upcoming Trip: Yoga Retreat

I am going on a trip.  I have wanted to go on this trip for a while.  Anyone who has read Eat, Pray, Love understands why and probably shares my desire to go on this trip.  I am going on a yoga-fitness-health retreat in a tropical location for 7 days.  Those 7 days are predetermined and I couldn't be happier.  Each day will begin with a 6:45am wake-up and 15 minutes of  "morning pages" (journal writing).  From 7 to 8am, I'll be taking a walk on the beach.  Yoga begins at 8am and a fresh, clean breakfast is served at 9.  My mornings will vary at 10 o'clock each day.  I'll go on excursions by bike to see the ruins, tour fresh water cenotes, visit nature reserves and go kayaking.  A fresh and green lunch is served at 12:30 and afterwards, between 1:30 and 4:30 each day, I will enjoy free time:  the beach, massages, writing, kayaking or volleyball.  At 4:30, we will have a class, either body tone and sculpt, circuit training or power abs.  Then in the evenings, I will either be doing restorative yoga, African, salsa or belly dancing.  A dinner of home made vegetable soup or the fresh catch of the day is served at 7:30.  My after-dinner evenings will be spent participating in tribal drumming lessons, enjoying live music or doing a little creative writing.

I am so excited for this time to reconnect with myself and with God.  I am looking forward to unplugging from the stresses and pressures of daily life and feeling healthy, clean and light!  I'm praying for peace, clarity and self-renewal during this excursion, I'll back in a week!
