T.J. Maxx’s 1,000th store opens in DC today!

This morning T.J. Maxx opened its 1000th store here in DC and last night I got a preview of the wares. My curiosity re this new store has been stoked ever since I saw that big red and white “Coming Soon” sign on the block adjacent to my DC office. I assumed this would be one of those really good T.J.’s – where everything you see is gold and you walk out with way more than you expected to but couldn’t be happier about it because you found one-of-a-kind apparel with one-of-a-kind prices – the stuff shopping dreams are made of. Yep. This is that kind of store. Prada, Valentino, Fendi, Kate Spade… Everything is here and everything is awesome.

I had such a fun time last night chatting with the charming women at T.J.’s and the lovely DC bloggers! Everything was wonderful, thank you so much T.J. Maxx and welcome to Penn Quarter, I’ll be visiting you often.

I didn’t know T.J. Maxx was that kind of store! I’d never been to one, but I’d seen the commercials and thought it looked cheap, like a Marshall’s. This is exciting! I wonder if there’s one in Scottsdale…do you know where T.J.’s gets its inventory from?

You’ve never been to T.J. Maxx?! Girl, you’re missing out. They actually work with over 15,000 vendors and their buyers shop weekly and all over the world… Each store receives around 10,000 new pieces every week…
