L! This year, I’m spending Christmas in Bethlehem! I’m volunteering here in the West Bank, and one of the perks is that I get to see all of the festivities intertwined with the history. Yesterday was the lighting of the Christmas tree in Manger Square, near the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. It was incredible!

This is the first Christmas I will be engaged, and the last as an unmarried woman, so I will be spending lots of time with just my family
I am so excited to surprise my parents who live in England over the holidays by going to visit them. The best surprise is that they will just bust with joy when my little baby and I arrive at the door

My family tradition is to go to my grandparents house on Christmas and my whole family get together. We sit around laughing and talking of all sorts of things. We play games, eat lots of food, and simply enjoy each other.

My fiance and I are an “interfaith” couple, meaning that we will be celebrating Chanukah with my family on the night of December 20th, Christmas with his family on December 24th and 25th, and NYE with our mutual friends! We even put up an “interfaith” Christmas tree, using a blue-gold-silver colour scheme for the ornaments.

My family lives away from our extended family, so our Christmases are always small but cozy at our cottage. This year I will be attempting my first buche de noel, starting today with the meringue mushrooms! Also, a size large!

This year I’m sewing mittens for all my family and close friends (lots of mittens!) from recycled cashmere sweaters. Warm + cuddly.
A S/M would be great! I work in a children’s hospital so this year I am feeling especially grateful and blessed for my health and the chance to be at home with my family on Christmas. Happy holidays to everyone!
I am excited to start new traditions this holiday and upcoming new year! This will be the first holiday season in 5 years that wont be spent with my now x boyfriend & his family its sad but I am trying to stay positive!
My new holiday tradition has become walking the dogs at my local shelter. I am so happy knowing that these little (and big!) guys and girls will know they have a family.
