I’m trying not to let it ruin mine. Tonight is Fashion’s Night Out in Georgetown and I have been looking so forward to it! The rain sure does dampen my excitement though. Over 100 participating retailers are offering special promotions, discounts, events, extended hours, champagne and refreshments… I will be there for sure, trying to balance my purse, umbrella, shopping bag(s), champagne glass and h’or dourve – it should be a sight.
I suppose I will just embrace the elements… Besides, maybe it will discourage DC fashion devotees from coming out and then the lines will be shorter (I don’t really care for shopping in large crowds:) There is always a bright side, right?! Oh, and if you’re in the Friendship Heights area, from 6 to 9 pm, the Mazza Gallerie’s Neiman Marcus will host a Fashion’s Night Out party with cocktails, a Michael Kors runway show and a cupcake bar:) And during the day, Saks Fifth Avenue will have the Chanel limited-edition “Denim” nail polish created just for Fashion’s Night Out for sale. I’ll probably be at Citronelle to start the evening and then hop around. I should probably have more of a plan like a lot of ladies do but planning has never been my strong suit. I shall see where my wet platform heels take me!

You have a great attitude towards the rain combined with Fashion’s Night Out! I’m so excited to go out this evening as my sister will be walking in a fashion show at Saks or Neiman’s. And since I got hired today (first job ever, yes!) I may buy myself some work clothes! Cheers to fashion!
i hope you had good luck out there!!
