Life lately has been amazing.  Amazingly hard at times and exhausting at others, but mostly just amazing.  A couple of months ago a wonderful website, What to Expect When Expecting (a site I referenced many times throughout my pregnancy) asked me to write a guest post and I was thrilled.  I had no idea what I would write about at the time.  After having Amara though, I knew that my post would be about her birth, all the planning I had done and the unexpected complications that arose.  The post can be found here.

I’m loving being a Mommy to this happy little girl, she is the sweetest thing.  I want to wish a very happy Mother’s Day to all the Mommies out there.  It’s fun that I get to be a part of this day now.  Happy Mom’s Day Mom, I love you.

Hello Amara Dielle Baker, welcome to this big beautiful world.

Daddy and I are completely in love with you.

My awesome, sweet, super helpful sister in law flew in to help when Amara was born.  She also happens to be a fantastic photographer so we have some great photos of our happy little baby.

Amara is actually 2 weeks old today.  She was born on April 15th.  We spent 8 of the first 12 days of her life in the hospital.  She is perfectly healthy and wonderful but Mommy had some complications.  I am doing much better now, grateful to be home.  Our little girl is more perfect than I thought possible, she is our angel.  She actually saved her Mommy’s life, remind me to tell you that story…
